Their story
Ad Astra Cider is a young cider producer based at Orchardleigh Farm, Stone Allerton, Somerset, registered as Ad Astra Cider Ltd in August 2021 and describing itself as "a new cider producer from the heart of Somerset". They grow cider apples in their own orchard on site, naming Bramley, Dabinett, Michelin, Ellis Bitter, Yarlington Mill, Major and Sweet Coppin among their varieties, blended into four core ciders: Tornado, Protector, Vulcan and Hurricane. They also make apple juice and gin. A taproom in the orchard sells their own drinks alongside other craft keg beer, with regular evening opening hours and appointment visits at other times.
