Privacy
Short version: no cookies, no tracking, no accounts, and nothing about you is sold or shared.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites; it tells us which pages are read, not who read them.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. The map remembers nothing about you once you close the page.
Maps and other services
To draw the maps, your browser fetches map pieces from Esri (hill shading) and Stadia Maps (place names, with OpenStreetMap data), and the map code from our own site. Like any website, those services see your browser's address when it asks for them.
When you type a postcode or place name into a search box on the map or events page, that text is sent to postcodes.io, a free UK postcode service, so we can find where it is. Nothing else about you is sent. The "near me" button uses your device's location only inside your own browser, to sort the list; it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
The Directions button on a maker's page opens Google Maps, but only if you press it. Links to makers' own websites and social media lead to separate sites with their own privacy practices.
If you email us at [email protected], or use the suggestion form on the About page, we use what you send only to reply and to check and correct the guide. The form passes your message to our inbox through Cloudflare and stores nothing itself; the inbox is hosted by Google. We don't add you to any list.
Makers
We list businesses using what they publish about themselves and reliable public sources. We don't publish private phone numbers, home addresses or personal details. If you run a listed business and want something changed or removed, email us and we will act on it.
