Their story

Wilcox Cider is made by the Wilcox family at Broadcroft Farm, Shipham, near Cheddar Gorge, where the family has been pressing cider since 1868. What began as a hobby became a commercial business in 2004, with production growing from around 15,000 to 40,000 litres a year. Apples come from local orchards around the Mendips. The range includes sweet, dry, medium and oak-matured ciders, and the business also makes a perry. For some years cider was sold from the family's own farm shop and cider tap, The Cider Shed, at Broadcroft Farm, alongside cheese, chutney and other local produce, but this closed in August 2023 and has not reopened.

Not detailed publicly beyond sourcing apples from local orchards around the Mendips near Shipham; no specifics on size or tree age found.
