Their story
Jack's Cider is a sister brand of Wookey Brewing Co, a Somerset brewery founded at Wookey Hole in 2020 by Samuel Mills. Launched in August 2024, Jack's Cider draws on the cider-making history of the Cleaves family of Pilton, Somerset, and is made from 100% pressed Somerset apples, wild-fermented without added flavourings or concentrate. The range includes Jack's Original, a medium-dry cider at 4.5%; Black Jack's, a blackcurrant fruit cider at 3.4%; and Jack's Zero, an alcohol-free version made using vacuum de-alcoholisation. Named apple varieties are not published on their own site. No dated, verifiable awards specific to the cider (as opposed to the brewery's beers) were found.
