Their story
Brothers Cider is a fruit cider brand made at Showerings Cider Mill in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. It was founded in 1992 by four brothers of the Showering family, whose forebears had made cider in the area for generations. The brand built its following at music festivals through the 1990s before moving into pubs, bars and shops across the UK and abroad, including Northern Ireland, Thailand, Singapore and China. Rather than farmhouse ciders made from named apple varieties, Brothers produces flavoured and fruit ciders, sold mainly in cans and bottles. The wider company, Brothers Drinks Co, also owns Mallets Cider. In 2021 it announced plans to redevelop the neighbouring Kilver Court site, once owned by the Showering family, as a community and visitor destination.
