Their story
Blackmore Vale Cider is a small, family-run business based in Templecombe, on the Somerset/Dorset border. Rather than growing its own fruit, it buys untreated traditional cider apples from orchards in South Somerset, which are collected and sorted by hand before pressing. The cider is blended into a traditional farmhouse style and sold as Sweet, Medium and Dry, in 500ml and 750ml bottles and in 3, 5, 10 and 20 litre bag-in-boxes. The business also takes custom orders for weddings, birthdays, shoots and festivals, and offers local delivery. It enters the British Cider Championships at the Royal Bath & West Show most years and has won medals across several classes, including a past Supreme Champion award.
