Their story
TA Skittery is a Herefordshire family cider and apple juice maker based at Aylton, near Ledbury. The Skittery family has farmed and grown apples in the area for generations; James and Jane took over the apple juice side of the business in 2006, running it for about 20 years using fruit from their own farm and neighbouring growers. Their children, Tom and Annie, later joined the business and in 2022 started making cider alongside the long-running apple juice range. The cider is single-variety, so each bottle carries the character of one named apple, made from hand-picked, tree-ripened fruit rather than a blend. There is no shop for casual callers, but group orchard tours with tastings can be booked in advance, and produce is sold online, through local stockists and at regional shows.
Fruit comes from the family's own farm at Aylton and from neighbouring growers' orchards; acreage and tree ages are not published.
