Their story
Gregg's Pit has been making cider and perry at Much Marcle, Herefordshire, since 1994, working in small batches of single-variety and named blends. Juice is fermented with wild yeast and matured in stainless steel, and fruit is pressed on an 18th-century stone press; wastewater is recycled and the spent pomace fed to cattle. All products have carried Protected Geographical Indication status since 2003. Fruit comes from traditional standard orchards at the site. The range includes named single-variety and blended ciders and perries, released mostly through bottle-conditioned runs and draught bag-in-box, plus a small annual batch of pear spirit.
