Their story
Chiblers is a small craft cider and perry maker run by Geoff Newman at Kempley, near Dymock in Gloucestershire. Newman also runs Chiblers Wild Orchards, an orchard conservation consultancy, drawing on around 15 years advising on traditional orchards in the conservation sector. Fruit comes from traditional orchards managed for wildlife rather than for maximum yield, and the cider and perry blend heritage and modern varieties. Chiblers sells at Kempley Produce Market and at beer and cider festivals across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and offers orchard visits and educational talks to groups. In July 2026 its Dymock Red, Knotted Kernel and Kingston Black blend was named Cider of the Festival at the Cotswold Beer Festival, and its cider and perry have also placed at the Putley Cider and Perry awards.
