Their story
Severn Cider is made at The Old Vicarage in Awre, near Newnham, on the Gloucestershire bank of the River Severn. The cider barn was built with help from the LEADER rural development programme. Cider and perry are fermented from fresh-pressed fruit using indigenous wild yeasts, and the range runs from farmhouse blends to single-variety ciders made with Dabinett and Yarlington Mill apples. The shop is open six days a week and offers tastings of draught and bottled products before purchase, alongside cider vinegar, preserves, honey and apple juice made on site. The site also hosts weddings and private events, with a marquee available in summer. No founders or owners are named publicly.
Not stated whether fruit is grown in orchards of their own or bought in; not confirmed from the site.
