Their story
Pershore Press is the cider, perry and juice enterprise of Pershore College, part of Warwickshire College Group, run from the college's Pershore campus in Worcestershire. Staff and students have pressed fruit there since the early 1990s. During the 2020 lockdown the college rebranded the enterprise as Pershore Press, taking in the craft production methods and horticultural heritage of the Vale of Evesham, and it now carries the "Make It Worcestershire" seal. Fruit comes from the college's own Avonbank Orchard and from named growers such as Stocken Orchard. The range covers single-variety and blended ciders, perries and fresh-pressed apple juice, sold through local shops and hospitality customers and from the college's own shop. Profits go back into education at the college.
Discovery apples for the Fine Cider come from the college's own Avonbank Orchard on the Pershore campus; some single-variety cider (e.g. Dabinett) is pressed from named outside growers such as Stocken Orchard rather than college-grown fruit.
