Their story
Pearson's Cider is made at a small farm-based mill at the foot of the Malvern Hills, on the Newtown Trading Estate in Tewkesbury. It uses bittersweet and bittersharp cider apples bought from orchards within 15 miles of the mill, and says it can trace each batch back to the tree it came from. Fruit is washed and inspected before pressing, and bottle labels record which apples and yeast strains went into each batch. The range includes dry, medium and medium-sweet ciders, a blush cider made with Red Devil dessert apples, and a perry made with Jenkin's Red pears. The business does not publish the names of its founders or owners.
No orchards of their own; apples are bought from selected orchards within 15 miles of the mill, traceable to individual trees.
