Their story
Nempnett Cider Company, trading as Piglet's Choice, is a small cider and perry maker based around Nempnett Thrubwell, run by Keith. It does not have retail premises; cider and perry are made by traditional, handcrafted methods from 100% juice and sold into pubs and shops across the South West and at festivals and fairs, rather than direct to visitors. The range includes a dry, oak-matured single-variety cider and a perry, along with ciders and a perry named after the specific apple and pear varieties used, including Somerset Redstreak and the perry pear Blakeney Red. The producer's listed premises has recently changed, though it continues to draw fruit from the same orchards as before.
Draws on the same orchards used before a recent move of the production site; exact location, size and tree ages are not published.
