Their story

Hadspen Valley is a new cider and hospitality business between Bruton and Castle Cary, set up in 2025. It pairs two shepherd's huts, sited among the apple rows, with small-batch cider made from a single orchard of around 1,000 trees planted in the 1980s. Cider is made on site from start to finish, using traditional methods and wild yeast fermentation. A first commercial vintage is planned for 2027; until then, cider is made in small batches for guests staying in the huts and for the business's own events, rather than sold to the public or online.
