Their story
Dinnington Cider Press is a small family cidery at Mill Farm in the South Somerset hamlet of Dinnington, run by Ben and Gilly Jaffe. They planted their orchard and began making small batches of cider in 2011, working with rescued older apple trees alongside newer planting of Somerset varieties. Cider is made in both a traditional farmhouse style and a French-style keeved method, both naturally fermented, alongside a perry. At the 2025 British Cider Championships, staged at the Royal Bath and West Show, their keeved cider took best in class and Reserve Champion. Visits are possible only by arrangement during the autumn pressing season, when family and friends gather to press the harvest.
