Their story
Barkers Real Cider & Perry is a family farm business in Hallow, Worcestershire, where farming has continued since 1920 and cider and perry production was established in 1996. Fruit comes from the farm's own traditional standard orchards, some trees planted around 1850, grown without sprays or artificial fertiliser. Apples and pears are harvested and pressed on the farm, then matured, often for several years, in the farmhouse cellar. The cider and perry are sold wholesale in bag-in-box and five-gallon containers rather than in bottles, and the business says it has won a number of competitions, some national, over more than two decades. No individual is named publicly as owner.
