Their story
Wild West Cider is a small family business run by Matt and Sean at Failand Farm, on the edge of Bristol. They grow apples in their own certified organic orchards and also buy in fruit from neighbouring untreated orchards, alongside an organically managed vineyard planted for natural wine, first harvested in 2020. Cider is fermented naturally with wild yeast, unfiltered and unpasteurised. The farm sells cider, wine and other local produce from its own farm shop and online, and hosts a public wine and cider tour on Wednesdays and Sundays, as well as private group bookings and meeting-space hire in a barn conversion called Flagstone Lodge.
Certified organic orchards at Failand Farm, supplemented by fruit bought from neighbouring untreated orchards; the farm also has its own organically managed vineyard, first harvested in 2020.
