Their story
Rawlins Family Cider is made at Horton, near Ilminster, by Simon Rawlins, using traditional farmhouse methods the company describes as passed down through generations in the South West. Its range includes single-variety and keeved ciders from apples such as Dabinett, Browns, Chisel Jersey, Kingston Black and Somerset Redstreak, plus a perry made from pear varieties the maker says are found only in the village of Horton. The cider performed strongly at the 2026 British Cider Championships at the Royal Bath & West Show, taking Best in Class in the sweet and fruit cider categories along with several silver and bronze medals. Ciders are sold directly online and through a number of South West pubs and restaurants.
