Their story
The Parrett Cider Company was founded in 2012 by childhood friends Tim Gray and Calum McLeod, who grew up together in the parish of Kingsbury Episcopi, at the heart of Somerset's traditional cider country. They work with old equipment, including an Elm twin-screw press, a Wensley of Mark mill from around 1900 and a vintage Lister Petter engine, and pick much of their fruit from orchards within the parish, using apple varieties developed locally. The cider is made without additives or added sweeteners, in a dry, traditional style. Their single-variety ciders made from Dabinett and Tremletts Bitter apples have been among their most successful. The business is registered at Drayton, near Langport, and has picked up results at the British Cider Championships in 2026.
