Their story
Commonwood Farm is a family farm in the Teme Valley at Knighton on Teme, Worcestershire, where the same family has farmed since 1887; Sarah and Bruce Starkey, the current generation, are named on the business's own website, with Bruce bringing a horticultural background and Sarah experience from the food and drink industry. The farm's Bannut Orchard is a traditional perry pear orchard believed to have been planted in the late 1700s, alongside cider apple trees including Kingston Black. They make bottle-fermented and bag-in-box perries, a single-variety Kingston Black cider, apple juice and a pear brandy liqueur, sold through their own online shop, click & collect, and private tastings by arrangement.
