Their story
Tippetts Cider is a craft cider maker based on Row of Ashes Lane, Redhill, near the Mendip Hills in North Somerset, run by Mike and Louis. They pick, press and ferment all their own fruit on site, using traditional cider apple varieties from local orchards and wild yeasts, with cold racking and keeving used to build natural sweetness without additives. Every cider is made from 100% fruit juice, with none of the production outsourced. The business aims to bring techniques associated with the modern fine cider scene to an everyday, affordable price point. Their ciders have picked up results at national competitions, including a Silver medal for Crow Cider at Sandford Orchards' Breakthrough Cider Maker Awards 2025, and medals at the British Cider Championships in 2026.
Fruit comes from local orchards using traditional cider apple varieties; Tippetts do not publish details of their own orchard, if any.
